Dream big. Set Goals. Take action. Pretty much sums it up.
One of my dearest friends shared some exciting news this week about a huge opportunity God is opening up before her. It is the culmination of years of hard work and commitment. She has been so faithful with the small things and now she is being trusted with so much more.
Dream Big – Get clear on where you want to be in 5 years. Visualize it in present tense. Who is with you? Where do you live? What does your office look like? Picture yourself living out the vision.
Set Goals – Think about the visualization above. What do you need to have done in 1 year to be on track? In terms of the 1-year goal, what do you need to accomplish this month to be on track? Set specific, relevant goals. If you look at your goals and they are not related to the big dream, it’s time to re-evaluate your why. Go to “WHY” post here
Take Action – Every one of my posts ends with this challenge. The reason is that if we never get in motion, we get stuck in the dreaming or planning phases and never realize the dream. Find your system of regularly reviewing your goals and creating daily tasks that align with them. Over time, you will see progress. Do it afraid. Accept that you will make mistakes and not everyone will cheer you on. When challenges come, review your WHY, dust yourself off and get back down to business.
I don’t know about you, but I needed that pep talk today!
